Before You Rent or Buy

Reserve 2–8 weeks ahead (months for peak weekends). Ask:

• What do delivery, setup, takedown and pickup cost?
• Is there a damage waiver, and what does it cover?
• Do we need to rinse dishes or bag linens before pickup?
• Does the tent need a permit, stakes or weights, sidewalls or heaters?
• Can you do a site visit?

Tips

• Tents over a certain size often need a fire-marshal permit; your rental company usually knows the local rule.
• Book weekends in May–October early.
• Ask what your venue already includes before renting.
